Used to fish it a few years ago between Tesco’s and the chapel on the bridge. Had to get there early, as as soon as the sun came on the water bites were very hard to come by. Absolutely stuffed with fish! Roach and dace till you get fed up! Chub, barbel, once had a trout pushing 2lb, Very big barbel and pike up towards the weir at Tesco. Used to park up at the car park near the bingo place early on a Sunday morning (5am ish) heard a smash and banging one day while fishing to discover some scrotes had totalled my car about 6am. Nuff said don’t go anymore!
