I need to get a new one and at the moment my shortlist is either a Daiwa Airity 12 tube or the Preston monster. Any user reports on either or any other good shouts welcome.

Mosella Kompact 8 holdall takes some beating. Plenty of room for loads of tubes. Two insert hard holdalls take two made up rods in each.(three at a push) Good zips last ages.

I also have a Mosella Kompact 8. Can take 4 ready made up rods with me but struggle to get all my pole spares into the other sections.

Considering going back to a normal holdall and getting a sensas 4 rod ready bag.

Dont do that Steve b – I sold the Mosella Kompact 8 and am using the large holdall my colmic pole came with plus a Garbo 4 rod holdall and its really bulky.

I am either going to try the Preston Monster or get a smaller main holdall (perhaps the Rive of Shimano Aspire) and a 2 piece ready rod sleeve – if you get the Garbo or Rive on the reel piece its nice and long allowing you to “stack” your reels and get two rods in each side, fitting four in all.

I looked at the new Maver Platinum one that zips apart but the pole side zips on go about 1/3 was down, not good for retrieving half butts etc.
