SACG Species Hunt
This year the Scottish Sea Angling Conservation Network (SSACN) will be holding its 2nd species hunt at Luce Bay and Port Logan on Saturday the 16th of August.
The aim of this event is to spread our Fish Smart initiative to encourage anglers to measure their catch rather than weigh it and calculate weights using SSACN graphs. For further details please visit.
The all day species hunt event will be based at Ardwell slipway and picnic area in Luce Bay. Prizes will be awarded for a range of categories including most species caught and largest fish in both senior and junior sections. The area is already considered one of the most valuable sea angling destinations in Scotland and is well known for throwing up the odd surprise or bumper fish to boot!
Anyone can participate in the event regardless of expertise or angling experience Log on to http://www.tagsharks.com/species-hunt-2014 for more information or to get involved in the event.
