        I was down the west beach today not fishing tho, found that someone had caught a smut of around 7lbs and left it on the beach after presumably killing it, also a Mullet of around 5lbs, dunno if that met the same fate as the smut, the crabs had made a meal of part of its head The point being, whats the point ??

          Occasionally I’ve noticed that hounds will swim back onto the shore after being returned, when this happens I pick them up and throw them back in a bit further out. Apparently this is not uncommon. Perhaps the smut that you found is one that had done this? Don’t know about the mullet though.
