TF_PaddyDoes any one know:
A- If Shakespeare can be contacted in the UK?
B- A telephone number for them?
C- If there is a regional or UK rep and who he/she/they maybe?
I have broken something and i am really struggling to make any headway with replacing it.
My local shop has said that they are a nighmare to deal with and also that they have enquired about getting a new carrying section part of my feeder rod and they will not sell just that one section?
I cannot, or do not want to just give up with this, as the rod cost me £110 quid. -

TF_dave brittainPaddy Shakespeare don’t deal direct with the public, however if your local tackle shop is a Shakespeare dealer and his account is up to date he should be able to supply the section if Shakespeare have spares in stock.
I’d suggest ringing Ted Carters and asking them to order you a replacement section. If they can’t help PM me with details and I’ll see if I can help.

TF_PaddyDave, Thank you.
I will ring Ted Carter first thing in the morning and get back and let you know the outcome.
Cheers, Paddy. -

When I had a problem with a broken feeder tip I got a response from here. They were able to tell me they had one on stock but referred me to a dealer to get it.

TF_PaddyScarf – Thanks buddy.
I think that i have got, or getting to the same conclusion by going the way that Dave above has said.
I rang Ted Carter, who in turn has contacted them (Pure Fishing). They are trying to see if the feeder carrier section is in stock and then get back to me with the price.
The usual shop that i use informed me that they could not get one and i am coming to the conclusion that it is them (the shop) who cannot be _rs_ed to help me out. Frustrating, owing to the shear amount of cash that i have put over there counter – in fact, I’m fuming with them to be honest.
Lets see what Ted Carters come up with, but there initial help is very good and promising.
Your advise though is spot on mate – Thanks alot. -

TF_dave brittainPadddy some shops would rather sell a rod than a section however quite often what happens is that the account is in arrears and the tackle company put a block on any further transactions until the account is paid up to date.

Exactly the response I got Paddy. Luckily for me the rod only cost me £29 and I was able to pick a new one up on ebay for £21 delivered.
Only problem is – it hasn’t been delivered – and I’m still waiting for it.
It’ll be woth the wait though – cracking rods those Mach 1 XT 9′ feeders. -

TF_PaddyDave, Yes fella i agree with what you say, but if that is the case, a little bit of honesty would go along way dont you think? I’m old enough and big enough to take it! Should the shop simply say “Paddy, We are on the stop, I’ll get it in when the acount is cleared” Fine by me.
To be told that they cannot get one, yet when i ring Ted Carter and they are going top order 1 for me, having checked with Pure Fishing that it is in stock, is frustrating to say the least.
Cheers again for pointing me in TC’s direction, There is a bloke there also called Dave and he has got to be one of the most helpful blokes you could wish to speak to. Well done TC’s
Scarf, Hope you get your rod soon mate.
