Shimano Mini Baitrunners

Whats the verdict on these reels as I’m thinking of buying one to team up with a Carbonactive 10′ mini rod for small method work,

Nice little reels,got the 400 size with metal body(can’t remember model number dl??)Use mine for match carping where the fish run to high teens and like it a lot.Good smooth drag and mine is teamed with a preston 11′ rod.

I’ve got the 2500DL which is plenty big enough for my 10ft rods. It’s an excellent reel, but I’ve got an Okuma Epix Pro V2 that I like just as much. Might be too cheap for a tackle tart like you tho, pp? ~think

Probably lovely reels but can’t see them having much appeal due to us match anglers usually clipping up.

That couple of yards of wind back that you get when you put the rod down is enough to save you losing the lot if you get a take while you’re doing something else.

got a 4000dl and 10/11ft minis personally prefer it on the 11ft still use a tdr on the 10ft rod
