right im after a float for skimmers i like the carpa chimps but when im fishing a lake on which its very hard to see im missing bites. i have my tip dotted right down i would like a tip in this pattern float but with lets say quarter of the top of tip in red and the remainder in yellow, this is so i can see a lift bite more accurate. any ideas on this

May be worth trying someone like Hillbilly. He may be able to paint one of his range that is similar to a chimp,in the tips that you are after.

              Hi Paul
Why not try something like the Drennan Quad ! 3 different coloured tips ( black, red, yellow and sometimes orange)then just slid a bit of float silicone tube over the top ~think

Use a Cralusso Capri, they come with three diffrent coloured tips. You can also buy a DIY kit to thicken the tip amd make it the colours you want. The floats are available in .2 .3 .5, .75, 1g 1.5g biggers sizes also available.

I agree with draw bag KC carpa Gents are fantastic for skimmers.

Gents are great floats for skimmers. But that is not what Paul needs. The problem he has is very bad visibility due to the sun on a rippled water coupled with tiny lift bites.

The ghent is good when they are having it, but again has a hollow tip. When I want sensitivity I use a carpa speed, or in more tow a sensas jean francios

If he can’t see a Gent, he’s got no chance with a Speed.

                              Drennan do pole float sleeves.

                              http://www.tedcarter.co.uk/product.php?pid=drennan-pole-float-sight-sleeves-110790

Buy a yellow bristled float and add a small length of orange sleeve to the tip.

Middy do something similar but that comes on spools and is only one colour/diameter.
