With a lot of anglers contemplating upgrading their poles I am possibly going to jump on the bandwagon and buy a good used flagship pole to replace my speccy power. I have had the pole about four years and comes as standard with two spare long fours, 7 T3MK’s and 2 CTK5’s cupping kit, half extension and are repaired No.6. The pole is in good condition with just a few marks too the graphics. I was hopeful of £850 but what is a reasonable asking price?
        Kind regards
        Paul

I think £850 is a little hopeful mate, is the repaired No6 a spare or part of the pole ?? If its part of the pole I think it will be £600 and if its a spare then it will be nearer £700 – sorry if this isn’t what you wanted to hear fella.

The repaired 6 was the original that had a dink in the male end that I cut out and smoothed off. this ended 10 mm shorter than when new, so because of doubt I bought a Pro X no. 6 and use that. The original is probably ok.
I have put £850 out of hope as Tourney Pro’s which are basically the same pole with different graphics and are still fetching close to a grand.
I appreciate your comments and if I will gauge reaction to whether I sell or not.

Personally £850 is not a bad price for a good used spectron power as a brand new no 6 section today will cost you over £250. As you say it is just as good as the pro, just has a more progressive action to help you combat bigger fish.
Stick with it and someone out there looking for a good top of the range carp pole will buy that. 😎

Thanks Slim, even at £850 I would have too put £700/£800 to get a used Airity? and having fished with it today at Larford at 14m is it really worth spending that sort of money, probably not.
