TF_p2hl_p2hlthe rig has to be fish safe, ie free running. however how free is free?
so inline method should/might be ok.the newer rule set can be downloaded here:
http://www.fips-ed.com/peche_au_coup_eng.htm#however it does not list quite a few of previously mentioned rules for this event, such as the requirements or he rigs and maximum feeder sizes..
i expect Marcq will have great fun sorting this out…
now the real question is not about all the rules, but You only listed 5 anglers, no reserve then… or is tom fishing himself..

TF_NathanWatsonDidn’t know Mick still went fishing! Where does he go, does he have good results? Not as good as my mate Dean Smith had on the Trent with the feeder last year I bet!?

TF_NW Cut AnglerSo much depends on the style of feeder fishing. When it comes to fine feeder fishing for skimmers etc so many Norther Anglers reign supreme but I daresay this venue will be totally different. Some venues may even suit a commercial stroke specialist angler.

TF_JabjabNathan, what about Ali as well on the Trent, or any of the local anglers for that matter. It’s such a difficult decision to choose a feeder team.

TF_fred van den feederAbout the rules. Im in charge of the Swedish matchfishing sceen and when I translated the rules to Swedish about two month ago it clear stated that the biggest feeder alowed was 5x7cm also the rig had to be free runing and the biggest hook size 10.
Only a feeder to feed with, no catapults, baitdroppers, polepots or anything els to use to feed.Dont know if the rules i got is the right or if the rules that now is up is the right.
FIPS must be the worst federation in the world. less then 3 month to EuroChamps and still NO invitation… same thing every year. HOW are we ever going to compete with the best nations when we wont get any information or oportunity to practis? even try to book accomondation?
Same with feeder champs, first it was to be run in november, then the change to september. For next year it will change again to july. What about some longterm planning? how hard can it be? it must be possible to do it better…

TF_p2hl_p2hlapparently the fishing this year is 40- 50 meters out. for roach 150-200 grams, and not many of them. fishing with very light hooklengths small hooks, and a rig using a length of light elastic to avoid breaking the thin hooklength during the fight. the fishing will be as silver fishish as can be.
Yes the rules, (or should i say the minutes of the latest fips meeting (2010)) mentioned feeder size. however that is not mentioned in the feeder rules as i listed above. the captains meeting thursday will be alot of fun…
and currently the minutes of the 2010 meeting are not listed on their website.how fish safe does the rig need to be ie free running. can the feeder be on a twizzeled line with a biggish knot behind the feeder, can it be with a float stop behind the feeder, or does the feeder have to be attached to a clean line????
all good questions which should be aimed at our friend mr marcq.

TF_Waveney OneSounds like a great venue for the feeder – Not.
Is it a lake or a river?

TF_geepsterParticipantIf it’s long range feeder fishing for roach, why isn’t Derek Willan in the squad?

TF_Man of KentNathan, I thought it was only his top half that was Chinese. Doesn’t he claim the bottom half is Nigerian? Probably just a Phallusy, I reckon!
