Tunnel Barn Farm match results and form to January 24th, 2011

Fishing has improved a lot with 90lb+ weights being caught by pleasure anglers mid week. Lots of f1 carp, roach, perch, bream and the odd barbel showing to the inside line. Bronze and white maggots along with pellet have been the best baits.

        Top Pool
The Bowl area has been good for the odd big common carp to the island. Lots of bream, roach, perch and f1 carp on all pegs. Maggot has been the best bait on this pool fished at 6-8m on all pegs.

        Bottom Pool
Two double figured carp caught on Wednesday on bread on a waggler to the island. Lots of small carp and silvers on all pegs at 8m to bronze maggot.

        House Pool
Plenty of carp, roach, perch and rudd on all pegs fishing long. 70lb won the match on Wednesday to red maggot.

        Extension pool
All week the fish have been on 10m to 14m line. Pellet has been the best bait, fished with slop groundbait for f1 carp, s/bream and the odd tench.

        New Pool
The low numbered pegs have produced big weights all week after last Sunday’s 121lb, with 60lb to 70lb caught by pleasure anglers. Lots of f1 carp and silverfish on all pegs to pellet or maggot fished at 8-10m.

        Canal Pool
Bronze or red maggot have been the best baits, fished at 6m down the track with slop groundbait for rudd, f1 & f2 carp, common carp, bream, perch and barbel.

        Club Pool
Carp are up against the island with pellet being the best bait. Lots of silverfish at 8m.

        Jenny’s Pool
Fish in the middle of the pool in deeper water with small amounts of groundbait mixed with white maggot for carp and silverfish.
