I am a mature student conducting MSc research at the University of Portsmouth (England), concerned with the quality and hygiene of sea-angling bait, particularly with bait sourced from outside the UK.
The questionnaire seeks to examine UK sea-anglers’ preferences for common bait-types, its quality, where it is usually obtained and broadly the locations it is used. (It is NOT researching bait-digging).
If you are a UK sea angler, I would be really grateful if you would spend 10 minutes to complete the survey.

The survey includes sections relating to:
• Regular used fishing locations
• Bait preferences, quality and how purchased
• Respondent demographics
Through your participation and that of many other sea-anglers, the survey will enable me to get a broad perspective of the most used baits (source and condition), sea-angling locations and your opinion on shoreline and coastal conservation.
It is designed to be compatible with most phones and computers and take less than ten minutes to complete. Your responses are anonymised, i.e. no names, personal details or email addresses are recorded.
I would like to thank you all in advance for your help and co-operation.
