        Any tech whizz’s out there help me with this problem. I can connect my iphone and my laptop running windows xp to my router wirelessly but the other laptop running vista wont connect. Get a full signal from the router itself but says unidentified network and can’t connect to the internet. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

          Try switching the hub off and then on, it does exactly that with me

              Try reinstalling the wireless adapter driver. I had a load of windows security updates and .NET framework updates installed yesterday on my Windows 7 laptop which screwed with the LAN drivers. A reinstall of the drivers cured it. It maybe that you’ve had the same?

                Not worked mate. Seems to be a vista issue judging by the search online.

                  Been Vista issues since there’s been Vista.

                  Get Windows7 mate.

                      TF_D.W.

                        Static IP address will resolve the problem. I bet the IP address for the laptop is in the 169.x.x.x range. If that is the case then a static IP will fix it.

                        Usually using the following will sort it once & for all;

                        IP Address: 192.168.0.15 (or 192.168.1.15)
                        Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
                        Gateway: 192.168.0.1 (or 192.168.1.1)
                        Primary DNS: 192.168.0.1 (192.168.1.1)

                        This problem is usually caused by the Wireless LAN driver (Vista & Win7 use the SAME drivers).
