TF_JonniTimmsPersonally i would choose a method and get the gear for it, and work at it, then do the same with another.
To make this really simple your looking at three types of fishing.
-Pole
-Feeder/bomb
-WagglerEach would require you to buy a few different things, but its more around your budget and what style you want to buy the gear for and use. Theres no point getting all the gear for 2/3 different methods, your best focusing on one in my opinion.

carpcrusaderParticipanta friend of mine uses, like a spoon shaped cup, the he uses for squashing the ground bait/paste to a tear shaped thing, then pushes a pellet on the hook in to the mix. what method is that? and what would i need?

Sounds like method feeder, which is one of my favourite methods.
Pretty simple method really…
Feeder rod (11ft perfect for commys)
Reel
6lb mono mainline
in line method feeder
korum quick change bead
3-4″ hooklength
pr36 hook tied with a knotless knot and a bait band
6mm hard pellet in band
fishmeal groundbait or micro pelletssimples
Heres a few videos you can watch, some great tips…
