        Maybe for older poster’s

thinking back to the early days of the magazine,

well when I first started reading it which was

        around the very early eighties.

I dont think any of the writer’s who penned

article’s then, write in the mag now.

So anyone any clue what those people are:

still fishing? dead ? packed fishing up?

The people I’m thinking of are Roger Mortimer,

Ron Lees, John Claydon, Paul Smith ( tales of

tydd) … Anymore you can think of?

remember pikey’s progress as well ,( but mr Pearson is still knocking about ).

What about that Aussie that won the World Champs back in the 90s?

              What was his name?…

He was the editor for Advanced pole fishing for a while too…

Roger Mortimer is one of DHP’s directors now and still does a bit of fly fishing but no longer coarse fishing.

Dave Wesson is a bit of a multimedia expert at DHP who looks after its websites and puts most of the lovely films and DVDs together on sites like http://www.polefishingmagazine.com as well as the Winning Ways ones DHP shot for Preston Innovations. He also doesn’t fish much!

Both are also responsible for getting DHP’s mags available as Apps on the iTunes store, something a lot of people have been asking for!

On the Glory Trail – by Chris Campling

I used to enjoy reading his article and was a favourite of mine but by far Kim Milsom was the best articles I have ever read and with the exception of John Dean they are two of the most gifted anglers that shelved their match tackle for other things ~think

Sorry to hear about Ron Lees…. he was always

good read and knew how to carry a story.

Couple there I have forgotten. Chris Campling

and Cliff Hunt….. just remembered another,

                        Wading on by Richard wade.

I used to save every mag I bought, in the end

they were everywhere around the house.

Mrs got peed off eventually and took them to the tip when I was at work.

Now ex mrs …. gotta draw the line somewhere
                        have’nt you.

                        ~naughty
