TF_baitchefParticipantMine was a combination of 2 really, short pole and paste and straight lead and big pellet with the lead just edging it. What about you?

TF_ian_kentwithout a doubt,

MrFoxmanI can’t really give one method as I’ve had success on most this year if I’m honest. The two methods I have improved on have been fishing UITW on the pole and the pellet waggler.

TF_craigmMine has to be paste, tried it before and never got on with it until this season when I sat it out working out what were bites and best way to feed etc. I went on to be in the top 3 in 16 matches over the following few months.

AnonymousCaught almost everywhere on big bread punch from last January until April. Then, it was paste, paste and even more paste until October. Been expanders over crushed pellet this autumn and early winter on the venues i,ve been fishing but expecting bread to do the business once again once this ice buggers off.

Ketton boyA bit old hat really (is there anything new under the sun?) but I had a really good spell on hemp this year. Seemed to me that most places I fish it worked and that has been a while – to the point that I had lost some confidence in it. Great method when it works – proper bites and you can get away with quite big hooks for the bait – used size 16 511 when they were there. Also – it is a bait that seems to catch when nothing else will, after the roach back off. Seems a long time ago now looking outside.

TF_stevie bFishing a couple of big worms down the edge in the last hour or so has pulled me back into the frame on quite a few matches this year.
Chopped worm and caster also a favorite of mine as it catches anything that swims.
(I ain’t too shabby when fishing pellet either so best of both worlds) -

TF_MARKHLDASThe Stafford Moor Waggler to depth with no shot
has caught me a fair few fish, great for bream on waters around my way – Tow allowing.I’m also a fan of Double Dendra over any feed in the last hour in summer month margins, defo sorts out some lumps.

TF_Yare RodTwo big flouro homebreeds fished over a kilo of chopped worm and 2 pints of caster. Seems like a long time ago and still another 6 months to wait 🙁

TF_mickeymFor me it has to be worm over groundbait in summer. For what ever reason it is this method is truely awesome, particularly where big carp are to be had in the latter part of a match.

AnonymousI’ve won more matches on paste this year than any other method from fishing small thumb nail size bits long for skimmers to fishing large pieces of paste down the margins for carp although when the weather started to cool down good old 4mm expander over micros came into its own and has got me plenty of bites and brown envelopes.

TF_Serious SamPaste for me too both for skimmers and carp – was even catching well on it yesterday after breaking the ice..
