TF_LuciferCould somebody clarify the new rule please? Is it more than 60lb in the net and that net weighs 60lb, or is it, more than 60lb in the net and that net doesn’t count at all?
Thanks

TF_finOn the web site it says ” anything over 60lb and it wont count”,, that seems to me that the extra wont count but it can be taken both ways.

AnonymousJust came back from there last week ,its quite simple 2nets split your fish 50/50. 60lb in one net only so therefore 120lb in total in 2nets, any more than 60lb in one net you will be knocked back.Like my m8 he had 153lb in total and got knocked back to 120lb. Hope this clarifies this for you, I suggest take 3nets to be on the safe side as my m8 found out to his cost!!!!!

TF_LuciferCheers fin, I read the “anything over 60lb and it wont count” and thought it ambiguous, so sought clarification.

TF_Smedyes its deffo 60lb in ONE net!!
2 anglers in last weeks rover were over the net limit in BOTH nets with one nearly having 90lb!!
it didnt bother me as i won the rover with 123lb and was battered both sides!had a chuckle when the WA staff give em both a keepnet as there prize for coming second!
~naughty ~clapyou HAVE to have at least 2 nets with you to fish the match but i would take 3 or 4 if you can!

steveevans99Well done smed the rovers are generally won with 100 pound plus so cant understand why anyone fishing wouldnt have 3 nets but there loss is your gain lol.

TF_NeilSmed, you should do all that you can to fish the Preston Festival. I didn’t fish the first I qualified for and regretted it. When I qualified again I said yes straight away. You may be out of your depth compared to some but the satisfaction you will get beating some of the stars will keep a smile on your face for ages.
