TF_GavinCan’t say I have that problem with my original On-Box, but as a cheap fix-it you could put a strip of cheap sticky back draft excluder around the base to form a seal when it’s shut. A fiver will buy you enough to do your box many times.

TF_Mike_GlobeThe second bit of your question might be a reasonable answer to the 1st 🙂

TF_wildingukthe rive and colmic boxes are made in, and shipped from, europe for the european market. They are priced up in euros then converted to £’s.
The exchange rate is crap, hence they are sooooo expensive compared to a few years ago. The same goes for sensas. Shimano are so much as their stuff is mostly from japan, again awful exchange rate. Think that’s where preston, drennan and daiwa score so well. Even if the stuff is made in china (though some daiwa made in scotland), they are british companys so things are priced up in £’s in the first instance, not looked at in euros or yen and converted.

TF_Fred DavisMarket forces dictate what ever punters will pay, some tarts will pay well above the odds for that must have item, considering bread punch boards are selling for £70+ rive’s are in comparison cheap
