FISHING REPORT

MOLANDS . Fishing well albeit a little patchy but nets to over 150lb were coming out including carp to 20lb +,F1s to 9lb and tench to 6lb . Method feeder with wafters or dead reds and the pellet waggler has been the top tactic for the carp and shallow pole with pellet accounting for some nice bags of f1s. Carp anglers fishing the night have caught plenty of doubles and fish to over 22lb with boilies fished close in to the margins working best and on the warmer days there were some big carp coming to dog biscuit fished on the top.

GEARYS . In Good form this week with carp nets to 140lb and silvers nets to 45lb and most pegs capable of producing decent sport. Pellets fished on the bomb at 25-30 metres or long on the pole at 14m have been the top tactics with method and dead maggots also worth ago. Later in the day corn ,paste or dead maggots have picked off some bigger fish down the margins. Carp anglers have had plenty of fish on boilies with a PVA bag or off the top on dog biscuit.

LITTLE GEARYS . Fishing a lot better this week with match nets to nearly 200lb and consistent sort on most pegs. Shallow on the pole with pellet has been the top tactic but method feeder with dead reds or wafters, short pole with pellet at 5m and down the margins with pellet ,meat or maggots over ground bait have all been worth a go.

ANNIVERSARIES Steady rather than spectacular action at the moment with nets to around 60lb best but that means plenty of bites with f1s and stockie carp around the 2lb mark showing best . Meat fished short or pellet /caster shallow have been the outstanding tactics and on the wider pegs waggler or bomb with 6mm pellet as also caught well.

SIBLINGS A . Fishing along the margins has been the best approach with pegs 2,5,9-13 and 17-21 the form pegs. Corn or dead maggots over groundbait has worked best for carp to double figures and f1s to 6lb.A lot of carp mooching around during the day so a mugging rig can be effective as well.

SIBLINGS B . Fished a little tougher this week with nets to around 80lb best and the wind has pushed the fish down the arms so the early and late numbered pegs have been the most consistent with meat or caster down the margins or out at 5m . The bigger carp are coming to dobbing along the far side or to corn or dead maggots fished tight up to the far bank or down the margins with fish into double figures showing.

GRATUITIES Some lovely nets of silvers coming to caster or maggot which have included bream to 3lb,roach to 1lb and chub to 2lbin catches to over 30lb. Carp to around 15lb were caught on pellet waggler or surface baits such as dog biscuit

WILLOW Steady again this week with most pegs producing carp and f1s to around 6lb. Waggler or feeder tight to the island, pole with paste or banded pellet at 5-12m and down the margins with corn ,worm or dead maggots have all provided some decent sport.
