FISHING REPORT

MOLANDS . Despite the fishing being a little tough there were some quality fish caught last week with carp to over 23lb , f1s to 9lb and tench to 5lb. The bigger carp were caught shallow or off the top with candle/water waggler combined with 8mm pellet or wafters. Night fisherman found fishing down the near margin with cell or active-8 boilies was productive and pegs 6-10 , 23-31,39-45 and 52-60 were the best areas.

GEARYS . Probably the most consistent pool at the moment with match weights to over 140lb and carp to 22lb featuring in catches. Method feeder fished to the islands or out to the middle stumps has been the top tactic with bomb and 8mm pellet, long pole with 6mm pellet and down the margins late on the day with corn or dead maggot also working. Top pegs have been 11-21 and 27- 33.

LITTLE GEARYS Still not as prolific as it should be with the f1s not liking the bright high pressure conditions. The F1s that are feeding are still onto the meat fished short or in the margins or shallow on the caster. A small method feeder to the island or bomb and pellet is also working. Pegs 7 – 13 and 23-29 have still been the most consistent pegs

ANNIVERSARIES Meat fished short continues to be the top tactic with nets to around 60lb best. Shallow caster or pellet has been starting to work on the jigga float and pegs 2,6,9 and 19-23 have been the most consistent areas.

SIBLINGS A Pleasure catches to 100lb with carp to high double figures and f1s to 7lb featuring . The best tactic has still been meat fished short but long down the margins on corn ,dead reds or pellet fished over micros is also working. Shallow pellet or caster is also starting to produce and a mugging rig can pick up a few better sized carp.

SIBLINGS B . Nets to 80lb this week with the bigger f1s starting to switch onto the caster fished shallow or down the edges. The bigger carp are coming to dobbing along the far side or to corn or dead maggots fished tight up to the far bank or down the margins with fish into double figures showing.

GRATUITIES Some lovely nets of silvers coming to caster or maggot which have included bream to 3lb,roach to 1lb and chub to 2lbin catches to over 30lb. Carp to around 15lb were caught on pellet waggler or surface baits such as dog biscuit

WILLOW Like all of the pools with lots of f1s ,willow has been a little tough this week with pleasure nets to around 50lb reported. Bomb with pellet, pellet waggler or a small method to the island have all caught a few carp and later in the day down the margins with dead maggot ,corn or worm fished over micros.
