FISHING REPORT
The fishing last week was good for November with some quality fish being caught on most of the pools. MOLANDS produced the biggest fish which was a 25lb 5oz common caught from peg 26 on a popped up boilie. There were a couple of other 20lb fish caught along with a number of doubles. In the matches nets to over 40lb were caught with F1s to 6lb coming to hard pellet fished long on the pole or on the bomb and maggots fished short. GEARYS is still the most inform match pool with carp showing all around in nets to over 80lb with pole and 6/8mm pellet or bomb with pellet working best, silvers nets to 30lb of mainly skimmers but a few quality roach and perch coming to maggot or pinkies over ground bait. LITTLE GEARYS started to show better form with nets to over 60lb mainly of f1s coming to bomb with 6mm pellet and maggots fished down the first shelf at around 5 meters. Both the SIBLINGS pools fished tough this week with dobbing bread the most effective tactic fished across to the island or far bank. ANNIES is producing nets to 40lb and f1s and small carp are coming to pole fished maggot or expander pellet.
The first of the winter restocking plan took place last week with Moland and Gearys getting a number of quality carp between 10 – 22lb. All of the pools will receive fish throughout the winter.
