FISHING REPORT

A steady week with mildish conditions seeing the fish having a bit of a feed but generally the fishing can be best described as patchy..MOLANDS is still very clear and the fish are shoaling tight in some areas with pegs 23-29 and 54-60 the better pegs. Bomb with bread, pellet or wafter or waggler fished down the middle or up to the reedbeds has been the best tactic and carp to 26lb have come to this. GEARYS has been a little tougher with nets of carp to around 50lb being caught with pegs 9-13 ,18- 20 and 30-36 in the best form, method feeder with bread, pole with banded 6mm hard pellet or bomb with pellet/ wafter the best tactics. LITTLE GEARYS was still the most consistent with F1s showing on most pegs and nets to around 60lb winning matches with f1s to 6lb and carp to 15lb featuring in nets.Long pole at 14.5m or short at 5m with maggot has been the top tactic but dobbing bread has also worked well .Both the SIBLINGS pools fished tough this again week with dobbing bread the most effective tactic fished across to the island or far bank. ANNIES is producing nets to 40lb and f1s and small carp are coming bomb with 6mm pellet and wafters,or a small method/hybrid feeder with the pegs at the top end of the pool from 1-10 and 20-23 are still in the best form. WILLOW pool has seen weights to over 70lb with the flyer peg 5 in the best form at the moment and waggler or long pole with banded pellet has been the best approach.
