FISHING REPORT

A drop in temperatures this week saw the fishing go a lot more challenging with the fish shoaling quite tight it made for very patchy fishing.. MOLANDS fished okay with match weights to over 60lb and some quality fish including carp to 20lb,F1s to 7lb, bream and tench to 6lb. The water is still very clear so the better catches are coming from the far bank or down the middle and bomb or waggler with pellet/wafter or a small method feeder with wafter has been best approach GEARYS was still the most consistent match pool with carp showing all around the pool with pole and pellet, a small method/banjo feeder or bomb with pellet accounting for nets to over 50lb, silvers nets picked up a bit with catches to over 30lb of mainly skimmers but a few quality roach and perch coming to maggot or pinkies over ground bait. LITTLE GEARYS picked up a little with the f1s preferring the duller conditions with nets to around 70lb best and F1s to 6lb making up the better nets although there were some nice carp to 18lb also caught. Long pole at 14.5m or short at 5m with maggot has been the top tactic. Both the SIBLINGS pools fished tough this again week with dobbing bread the most effective tactic fished across to the island or far bank. ANNIES is producing nets to 40lb and f1s and small carp are coming to pole fished maggot or expander pellet with the pegs at the top end of the pool from 1-10 and 20-23 in the best form. WILLOW pool has picked up with carp and f1s coming to pole with maggot or pellet with nets to 45lb and pegs 5- 10 have been the most consistent.

WE WOULD LIKE TO WISH EVERYONE A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR
