FISHING REPORT

MOLANDS A much slower week with the cold windy conditions affecting sport but there were still some good nets and decent sized fish being caught with carp to 24lb , tench to 7lb,f1s to 8lb and bream to 6lb . In the matches nets to around 90lb were recorded and good back up catches with pegs 1-10 and 40-60 the better areas. A lot of fish in the upper layers and waggler with pellet has caught a lot of fish but pole/meat and bomb with pellet have also been working well

GEARYS A much cooler week saw the fish showing better in the deeper water along the high bank with pegs 6-13 in the best form a but carp were being caught from all around the pool and match weights to 115lb+ were had. In the matches bomb with pellet /wafter ,method feeder to the middle stumps and pole with 6mm banded hard pellet have been the better approach.. Still some nice nets of skimmers coming from all around the pool with maggot pinkies or caster over groundbait working best for nets to over 30lb

LITTLE GEARYS A much tougher week this week with the cold north westerly winds putting the fish down but decent carp and f1s showing particularly on the earlier pegs from 1 round to 11.Shallow tactics are starting to work with iigga and pellet/maggot. Pole fished meat fished short or down the margins and bomb with 6mm pellet or wafter has also been catching.

SIBLINGS A . Still the most consistent area has been from pegs 17 – 21 with carp and f1s showing in nets to 60lb. Banded hard 4mm or expander pellet fished tight up to the island has worked best but dobbing bread or corn has still been catching and picking out some nice carp into double figures.

SIBLINGS B Fished a little slower this week with nets to 40lb + with carp and f1s showing on most pegs with pole pellet/maggot fished down the middle or corn/dead maggot fished over micros across to the far bank working best.

ANNIES Has been producing nets to around 40lb and f1s and small carp are showing to pole with expander pellet on the pole or bomb with 6mm banded pellet and the pegs at the top end of the pool from 1-10 and 20-23 are still in the best form.

WILLOW Fished a little tough at times with nets to around 40lb last week with the f1s switching off and carp from 2-6lb provided the best chance of action. Waggler, bomb or a method feeder to the island or long pole with corn ,banded pellet or maggot have been the best tactics.
