REPORT

MOLANDS A milder week saw better sport with nets to around 50lb best with a mixture of decent carp and big F1s featuring in the bigger catches. Pellet feeder with waggler or pellet, long pole with maggot and maggot feeder have all accounted for a few fish.

GEARYS Fished well all round in the milder spell of weather with plenty of carp from 2 – 6lb coming out along with the odd double figure fish. Pole fished pellet or maggot is accounting for the better catches with bomb and PVA bag and pellet feeder also working this week.

LITTLE GEARYS Still a little patchy with the fish pushing down to the windward bank so pegs 15 to 25 have produced the most consistent sport. F1s to 4lb have been coming to pole with maggot or maggot feeder fished down the middle.

SIBLINGS A Pegs 2 – 5 and 17 – 21 have been the most productive with carp, F1s and ide showing to pole fished bread dobbed across to the island or pellet/maggot fished down the middle.

SIBLINGS B The pegs at the end of the pool from 7 – 11 have still been the best with carp and F1s showing well around this area. Dobbing bread or pellets along the far bank is the best method and nets to over 50lb have come to this tactic this week.

ANNIVERSARIES The top end of the pool from pegs 2 – 6 has been the best area where carp to double figures and F1s to over 4lb are being caught. Long pole with maggot and pellet and a maggot feeder are the top tactics.

CRESCENT/ALDER/REEDY BAY/FIRST BAY These small pools are fishing well and are always good for a few even on the coldest days. Crescent has seen lots of skimmers, roach, perch and the odd bigger carp coming to pole fished maggot. Lots of small carp and F1s are being caught along with roach and rudd on the other pools.
