REPORT

MOLANDS Fished a lot better this week with the big F1s showing in numbers and fish from
2 – 6lb being caught. Match weights to over 130lb and good back up weights too. Pole fished meat or caster fished close in has been the top tactic but pellet feeder, bomb and pellet and pellet waggler have all accounted for some big catches. Best pegs have been 1 – 4, 12, 15, 21 – 25,
29 – 33, 41 – 49 and 52 – 60.

GEARYS In good form with plenty of fish in the 15 – 20lb range coming out along with lots of smaller samples. Bomb with pellet, boilies, method feeder and long pole with pellet have all been working well. Pleasure anglers have found crucians between the rain showers fishing on the top with dog biscuit or bread.

LITTLE GEARYS More consistent than previous weeks with nets to 100lb being caught mainly of F1s but some decent sized carp featuring too. Pole fished paste or meat on the deck close in has been the best approach but shallow tactics are starting to work as well with pellet, caster or paste fishing up in the water.

GRATUITIES A little bit patchy but there were some decent carp up to around the 15lb mark caught off the top on dog biscuit. Good mixed nets are coming to expander pellet, meat or paste fished down the middle with skimmers, crucians, tench and carp being caught.

WILLOW In good form this week with nets to over 100lb. F1s and carp being caught shallow has been best with the jigger working well with pellet or caster on the hook. A small feeder to the island is also accounting for decent nets.

SIBLINGS A Still a bit patchy but decent nets are coming to pole fished paste or pellet fished down the middle or along the margins. A small pellet feeder is catching a few fish up to the island, particularly on the wider pegs.

SIBLINGS B Good consistent catches on Siblings ‘B’ with lots of F1s in the 1 -2lb range being caught. Pole or float fished corn, paste, pellet or maggot, either on the deck or shallow has been the best approach.

ANNIVERSARIES The carp were having a go down the bottom end and on pegs 13 round to 15 fish to 15lb were being caught off the top on dog biscuit. In the middle, pole with paste or pellet has been best for catches of F1s to around the 70lb mark.
