The February predator week at Ravensthorpe was a huge success with a 40lb 2oz pike caught along with several 30-pounders.

This massive specimen (pictured) was caught on mackerel by John Rushworth who is new to fishing at Ravensthorpe. John was boat fishing but took the fish to the shore so that it could be returned to the water safely.

Simon Vandrill (Ravensthorpe Ranger) verified the weight and assisted John in returning the fish safely to the water.

John had a fantastic time at Ravensthorpe with a 31lb 8oz and 21lb 4oz pike on the Sunday. On Monday he captured the superb 40lb 2oz specimen along with another pike of 36lb 10oz on the same day. Wow!!!!
