This lake is still fishing its head off has it as done all summer, but this match was exceptional in the pouring rain 3 weights over the tonne and just 6oz separating the top two.

In 1st place Dave Madin fished pole and corn over pellets on 3 lines 2down the margin and the other out at 12m he was into a carp on his 1st put in and never looked back landing fish from 12oz up to 10lb throughout the match to finish with 161lb 13oz, 6oz in front of 2nd placed Pete Hodgetts he started fishing on the method feeder and meat cast to the island but after an hour with just 2 carp he changed to pole and pellet having a 10lb carp straight away, ending with over 30 more fishing out and down the margin. Pete Ellis was winning the match with 3 hours gone fishing pole and corn out at 12m having carp to 4lb every put in, but his swim dried up and he only had 1 more fish in the final 2 hours
