The persistent rain tried to dampen the spirits of the anglers but it did wonders for the fishing, a lower turn out than usual due to holidays and the weather. Topping an impressive list of good weights John Woodland fished pole on 3 lines with corn, paste and pellet, after a slow start the carp moved onto his bait, taking a couple of fish from each swim then resting it, John ended with over 40 carp – 7lb and a massive 146lb 14oz. 2nd placed Carl fished pole and corn under the willow in his peg without any success for the 1st hour, but a change to paste fished straight out brought instant results with over 30 carp – 9lb in the net at the end of the match bringing his total to 127lb 15oz and also winning the summer series by 1 point

Lee was happy drawing this peg it had won the day match with 155lb on the feeder and that’s what he started on, he started catching from the off but was loosing more fish in the reeds on the retrieve, a change to the pole and paste put more fish in the net landing a total of 27 carp – 8lb for 98lb 2oz. Pete fished the margin in just 8’’ of water with pole and corn he had over 30 carp – 6lb
