Elizabeth Johnson caught this potential new women’s 10kg (20lb) IGFA tippet class record black drum (Pogonias cromis) while fly fishing Louisiana’s Biloxi Marsh with guide Brian Johnson.

The 17.5 kg (38 lb 8 oz) drum was enticed by a well-placed clouser and put up a tough 10-minute fight before it was landed.

Once they had boated the catch, angler and captain worked quickly to properly document and successfully release the potential record fish. The current IGFA record is 15.33 kg (33 lb 12 oz).
