REPORT

MOLANDS   Plenty of carp showing this week with pleasure anglers catching up to 20 fish in a session and fish to 15lb+ have been reported.  Pellet and method feeder and pellet waggler have been the top tactics for carp with 8mm pellet and meat the top baits.  The F1’s are showing best close in down the margins or long pole shallow.  Top pegs are 2, 4, 9, 13, 23, 27 – 33, 43 – 48 and 52 – 56.

GEARYS    In good form this week with the carp and skimmers feeding well.  Match nets to over 100lb and pleasure anglers exceeding that.  The top tactic has been to fish the bomb and pellet at around 30 metres or even the pellet waggler over the top.  The skimmers are showing best to pole with expander pellet or worm and silver nets to 50lb were caught this week.  Top pegs are 7 – 13, 16 – 21, 27 and 31.

LITTLE GEARYS   Although the top weights have been lower than usual the back up weights have been very consistent with lots of 30 – 50lb catches being caught on all areas.  Pole fished pellet or corn has been working well on the deck at 6 – 10 metres.  Pellet or method feeder to the island is also accounting for decent catches.

GRATUITIES   Feeder, bomb and pellet waggler to the island are working best for the carp which are running to 10lb.  Good nets of crucians, tench, small carp and skimmers are to be had on long pole with paste, pellet or caster.  Top pegs are 1, 4, 8, 9, 11 and 15.

WILLOW   Lots of carp showing on the top with some cracking catches being taken on floating bread this week including carp to over 15lb.  Mixed nets of skimmers, F1’s, carp and crucians are being caught on pellet, corn or caster.

SIBLINGS A & B    A little hit and miss on both pools this week, when it was good, meat or pellet fished right across to the far side of the island has been accounting for good nets of carp, F1’s and tench.

ANNIVERSARIES   A few of the bigger carp have been caught this week with fish to 15lb coming to float fished corn.  Plenty of F1’s are being caught on pellet fished over micros or ground bait.
