YATELEY’S Sandhurst Lake in Hampshire has received a significant boost to its carp stocks thanks to 30 fish to 33lb. The fish were sourced during a netting operation on an RMC stock pond.
In total the 12-acre
Sandhurst Lake now holds some 450 carp with an ever-increasing number of 20lb specimens present.
The growth rate of the fish in the lake is said to be very rapid and a fishery spokesman said that a number of new 30s are likely to start coming through over the next couple of years to supplement those already present.
Fishing at the water is by day ticket only with tickets available in advance from the Yateley Angling Centre on 01252 861955.
Sandhurst produced some excellent carp catches last winter.
