THAILAND’s Mae Klong River has thrown up one of its giant freshwater stingrays in the shape of this colossus weighing some 530lb.
The giant female, which measured some 2m x 2.4m, was boated by Wels catfish ace Yuri Grisendi, who took well over and hour to tire it out on big game outfits with Okuma Makaira reels and 10/0 circle hooks after blanking on the first day with the Fish Siam team.
The day also produced a 50kg male, with both safely released swiftly following capture.
