FISHERY REPORT

MOLANDS In good form this week with match weights to around 100lb and good back up catches from all around the pool. Carp to over 22lb, F1s to 8lb and tench to over 6lb have also featured in nets. Pole fished pellet, either down the first shelf or at 13 – 14 metres has been the most consistent tactic for the F1s catching on the deck or shallow. The bigger carp are coming to bomb or wafter and pellet in matches and carp anglers have caught on 15mm boilies fished tight across. In the evenings, they are catching really well fishing down the margins with pellet, boilies or paste.

GEARYS Definitely picking up this week with match weights to over 100lb and carp to 20lb+ showing. Bomb and pellet have been the top tactics in matches but fishing tight up to the inside with 6mm pellet or corn and down the edges has started to really produce good results. Carp anglers have enjoyed success on 15 or 18mm boilies with krill or tuna flavoured boilies working best.

LITTLE GEARYS Not as hectic as last week but good consistent sport has been had from all areas of the pool with nets to around 100lb and good back up weights. Fishing tight to the island with waggler or a pellet/method feeder, down the edges with pellet, meat or corn and shallow with pellet or caster have all worked well this week.,

GRATUITIES The better carp are being caught across the inside with a feeder or waggler on corn/pellet and down the margins later in the day with paste or pellet with fish into double figures coming out. Mixed nets to be had on caster or soft pellet fished down the middle of the pool with carp, tench, crucians, small F1s and skimmers coming to this.

ANNIVERSARIES The F1s are showing all around the pool with maggot, caster or pellet fished shallow catching nets to 70lb+. On the wider more open pegs, a small feeder with pellet or corn on the deck has worked well.

WILLOW In good form with carp and F1s showing on all pegs. Shallow tactics are best for the F1s with pellet or caster on the pole. The carp are coming to waggler with pellet, feeder with wafters and down the edges with paste, corn or meat.

SIBLINGS A It has been predominately carp that have made up the better catches with fish to over 10lb coming to paste, corn or pellet fished either down the inside or tight up to the island. The F1s are coming to maggot or pellet fished shallow with the best bank from pegs 5 – 11 the best area for these.

SIBLINGS B Really good sport to be had with every peg capable of showing good sport. F1s from 1 – 4lb are making up the nets with the odd bonus carp to 8lb and crucians also producing. Short pole with paste, pellet or maggot is the top tactic but on the wider areas pole fished corn or a small pellet has worked well.
