FISHING REPORT
MOLANDS Carp to 24lb featured in catches of up to 30 fish by anglers night fishing with cell or manilla boilies catcing well fished across to the far bank or down the middle, In the matches bomb with 8mm pellet or wafter has been the top method with long pole and pellet or meat also worth doing. The early pegs from 1-12 and around the point and along the far bank from pegs 41- 60 have been the most consistent areas.
GEARYS Match nets to around 100lb and carp to 22lb have been the highlights this week. Bomb with PVA Bag and wafter has been the top tactic but method feeder , long pole with banded hard pellet and down the margins with corn or dead reds over micros have also worked well. Skimmer nets to around 30lb coming to pole fished maggot or caster with the high bank area from pegs 6-13 best for silvers.
LITTLE GEARYS Fished a lot better through the week with match nets 128lb and good nets from all around the pool. Meat is starting to come into its own fished short or down the margins with waggler or pole with banded pellet also working well. Carp to 21lb and f1s to 8lb+ featured in catches .
SIBLINGS A . Still the most consistent area has been from pegs 17 – 21 with carp and f1s showing in nets to 60lb. Banded hard 4mm or expander pellet fished tight up to the island has worked best but dobbing bread or corn has still been catching and picking out some nice carp into double figures.
SIBLINGS B Fished a little better this week with nets to 70lb + with carp and f1s showing on most pegs with pole pellet/maggot fished down the middle or corn/dead maggot fished over micros across to the far bank working best.
ANNIES The top end of the pool was best this week with pegs 1-10 and 17- 23 producing nets to over 60lb with carp to 15lb and f1s to 7lb being caught. Pole fished meat or 4mm pellet and waggler/bomb with 6mm pellet have been the best tactics
WILLOW Fished well at times with nets to around 60lb last week with the f1s showing better and carp from 2-6lb providing the best chance of action. Waggler, bomb or a method feeder to the island or long pole with corn ,banded pellet or maggot have been the best tactics.
