FISHING REPORT
MOLANDS Really tough at the moment with the cold nights and clear water making it very difficult but the best fish was a 26lb common which was caught on peg 2 on a wafter over a PVA Bag.Pleasure anglers have caught on method feeder to the island and on warmer spells waggler with pellet. The best areas are around vthe point on pegs 43-50 and at the top end of the pool on 1-8 and 56-60
GEARYS Busy week with a festival fished over 5 days and its fished well with nets to 170lb and good nets from most pegs. Bomb with pellet and wafter has still been the top tactic but method feeder , long pole with banded hard pellet and down the margins with corn or dead reds over micros have also worked well. There are some nice nets of silvers to over 45lb with corn or maggot fished over micros or groundbait fished close in and down the margins
LITTLE GEARYS Fished a little better this week with nets in matches to over 110lb carp to 18lb and f1s to 7lb making up the better catches.Long pole with maggot ,caster or pellet fished on the deck or shallow ,bomb with pellet or wafter and down the margins with meat ,corn and dead maggot have all worked well at times with the most consistent pegs still from 7-21.
SIBLINGS A . A little better this week with nets to 80lb with the f1s showing better and there were a number of double figure carp featuring in nets as well. Meat, banded hard 4mm or expander pellet fished tight up to the island or down the margins has worked best but dobbing bread or corn has still been catching.
SIBLINGS B The cooler weather made it tough with nets 50lb best this week. Meat, worm or corn fished down the edges has picked up better sized carp and f1s later in the day. The most consistent pegs have been 5- 13
ANNIES Pegs 1-6 and 17- 23 have been the best areas with with carp to 18lb and f1s to 7lb being caught. Pole fished meat or 4mm pellet and waggler/bomb with 6mm pellet have been the best tactics
WILLOW Fished ok again this week with the low pressure at the weekend bringing the f1s back on to the feed and pegs 1-5 was the best area. Waggler, bomb or a method feeder to the island or long pole with corn ,banded pellet or maggot have been the top tactics.
GRATUITIES Carp to 17lb featured in catches last week with the noted corner pegs 1,8,9 and 15 still producing the better carp sport on float fished corn or worm down the edges. On the other pegs method feeder or waggler tight up to the island has worked best. Grats offers good mixed nets of Skimmers, F1s ,chub and roach fishing maggot or caster down the middle of the pool.
