FISHING REPORT
MOLANDS . A little more consistent this week with match nets to around 100lb and pleasure catches exceeding that with carp to 23lb and f1s to 8lb featuring in catches. In the matches bomb or waggler with 8 mm pellet or method feeder fished across to the island and late in the day down the margins with corn or worm fished over micros has been the top tactics.Carp anglers have enjoyed good success on surface baits or with boilies fished over a PVA bag tight up to the far bank. Best areas have been pegs 1- 10 ,19-25,43-48 and 54 -60
GEARYS Still fishing really well with match weights to 200lb+ and lots of 100lb nets coming out. Bomb with 8mm pellet is the main tactic fished at about 30 metres but shallow pole with pellet,or down the margins with dead reds or corn and pellet waggler also producing well. Carp to around 20lb have been showing all around the pool but pegs 9-16 and 27-31 have been the hotspots.
LITTLE GEARYS Shallow fishing has worked best with nets to 150lb being caught with pellet or caster fished on a jigga or a fixed rig at 8-12 inches and its mainly f1s up to 7lb that are coming to this. The bigger carp with fish to 20lb featuring in catches are coming to bomb or waggler fished across to the island or down the margins on corn, dead reds and worm. The most consistent pegs have been 7-15 and 23-29
SIBLINGS A A little better this week with nets to around 70lb and some nice carp to 15lb and f1s to 6lb being caugh. Meat, banded hard 4mm or expander pellet fished tight up to the island or down the margins has worked best during the day and in the evenings corn or worm over micros is accounting for some quality carp as well,
SIBLINGS B Still not in the best of form with nets 40lb best this week. Meat, worm or corn fished down the edges or the far bank has picked up better sized carp and f1s later in the day. The most consistent pegs have been 5- 13 with the fish sitting in the far bank reeds,so you need to get tight up for best results.
ANNIES Still fishing steady with carp to double figures and f1s to 5lb being caught on most pegs. Pole fished pellet ,maggot or corn has worked well fishing up to the islands or any feature. On the wider pegs bomb or waggler with 6 or 8mm pellet or wafters can be get plenty of bites.
WILLOW , Willow has been fishing well this week with plenty of carp and f1s showing on most pegs. Fishing tight to the island with wagglers or feeders and down the margins with worm or corn over micro pellets is the way to go at the moment.
GRATUITIES The noted corner pegs 1,8,9 and 15 still producing the better carp sport on float fished corn or worm down the edges. On the other pegs method feeder or waggler tight up to the island has worked best. Grats offers good mixed nets of Skimmers, F1s ,chub and roach fishing maggot or caster down the middle of the pool.
