Tackle firm Shimano is parting company with five-times world champion Alan Scotthorne.

Scotthorne, a man internationally renowned as one of the top match anglers on the planet, joined Shimano soon after winning his first World title in 1996 and he has been closely involved in product development on the match fishing side since then.

Internet speculation is rife about where the South Yorkshire ace will move next, with Drennan a possible front runner.
