Nature and evolution at its best this week, providing fish with natural feeds as fish are preparing to spawn some have already spawned.

Monday mayfly hatched and fish fed on them, frog spawn was happily eaten by fish as was toad spawn, then carp being caught had mouthfulls of natural bait ie blood worm and fresh water shrimp,

Fish eating at the banksides and underpinning the island to get the bloodworm
Incredible when you think of the millions of years of evolution to provide feed naturally for fish and their young with perfect timing as well as the evolution of wildlife and symbiosis of species.

Some great fishing with good size silvers including large bream, ide, tench, roach, rudd,
