some  excellent fishing if you did not mind getting soaking wet, Mike Hall from Ashington fished Friday on Bowes and besides getting soaked through he got 18 carp, his best was 24lb 10oz a mirror all on pellet covered in paste, he also took 3 bream of a male 6lb 4oz,  a female of 8lb 10oz, and another female of 10lb 1oz, together with 4 tench and two roach on worm tipped with caster. He fished peg 36. On peg 40 Colin Pine won the Saturdays match and also caught a 19lb 14oz common in great shape.
Bassetts had some excellent fishing with juniors learning to fish catching three carp over 4lbs each as well as a full range of species and the most caught by a junior was 54 fish in a session.
Lookout is in great form with fish following the wind, lots of crucians, tench, roach, rudd, ide, orfe and carp being caught all post spawning so feeding up well to regain strength after spawning.
