The Angling Trust will soon have a network of marine regions covering the whole of England. The new regions will be based as closely as possible on the boundaries of the Inshore Fishery and Conservation Authorities (IFCAs) while taking into account the current active regions which are carrying out such good work for our members.

Every part of the coast will now be represented including a new Central and an updated Midlands region for landlocked sea angling members. Being involved in your region will allow better communication between the Angling Trust and our members and give you as anglers a local network for news and information, competitions, upcoming events and conservation and fisheries issues in your area. The Chairmen of Regions are represented on the national Marine Committee. Please go along to meetings or contact them to ensure that your voice is heard at a national level.
Chief Executive Mark Lloyd said “I hope that our members get involved in forming active regional groups where they go fishing and that they will put themselves forward for election to the important roles of regional Chairmen and Secretaries. These regional groups are vital for the Angling Trust’s communication, representation and ability to take action for sea anglers”.
