Bait-Tech is to get behind the Shakespeare Superteam who will now be known as Shakespeare Superteam Bait-Tech.

The deal will give the team access to Bait-Tech’s full product range when competing in high profile team events all over the UK assisting them in gaining even more success over the coming season – adding to an impressive list of achievements!

The team itself has a huge spectrum of talent from River experts and some of the best canal anglers in the country. Over the last year or so the team have been concentrating on strengthening the commercial fishery side of the squad and now boast some of the best in the business within their ranks – this is one team not to take your eye off and big results are sure to follow!

The Shakespeare Superteam is one of the most historic teams in angling history going way back to 1978/79 when it was formed by Angling Legends – Clive Smith and Kenny Giles who hand selected the original squad. During its history the team can boast 4 Division One National titles – 2013 Trent & Mersey Canal, 2009 Staffs & Worcester Canal, 2002 Basingstoke Canal, 1998 River Huntspill – Also finishing in the top 8 eight times in the last ten years. Add to this an AT Winter League Final win in 2009 and having represented England in the World Club Championships three times including Poland in 2009 where they narrowly missed out on a medal in 4th place. This team has the pedigree to achieve the biggest accolades!

Recently the squad have been adding to their impressive list of achievements with wins in their Angling Trust Winter League Division, Barford Canal League, Burton WL, Erewash WL and the River Wye Winter League.
