DISCOVERY Home & Leisure has a bumper crop of new angling programmes for this autumn, with Friday evenings dedicated to all things fishy.
Starting at 9pm, Fish on Friday is a three hour, uninterrupted block of angling programmes, including Angling Times TV, with a brand new series of Hooked on Fishing with Paul Young showing in September.

In this 15 part series, Paul travels the globe to find the most challenging and stimulating angling.

He fishes the beautiful glacial lakes of the Andes Mountains for Patagonian brown trout, catches Arctic Char in Russia‘s remote Kola Peninsula on the Arctic Circle and nets some heavyweight Pacific salmon in the turbulent snowmelt rivers of southern Chile.
From shark fishing in Namibia to cod fishing in the Bristol Channel, the dramatic series Fishing on the Edge in November features astounding locations.

Presented by Henry Gilbey, Fishing on the Edge visits ten prime locations showing unusual angling techniques for a range of fish including porbeagle sharks, bream, bass and cod. Jeremy Wade is the Big Fish man in Jungle Hook, premiering in December.  Jeremy has traveled the globe from Africa to Asia, from India to the Amazon, in a quest to catch the world’s most dangerous and elusive fish.

Now he is preparing to go after the biggest of them all – the Amazonian pirarucu. This riveting five part series follows Jeremy’s hunt deep into the most remote and inhospitable reaches of the Amazonian jungle – a journey brimming with excitement and adrenalin.
There are also two new series of the ever popular Go Fishing show with John Wilson in October and December.
