On a wind swept moat pool feeder fishing was the main tactic for most anglers. Leading the field was Terry Sears off peg 40 on Moat Island. Terry fished maggot with groundbait and micro pellets for 6 carp and a few skimmers.

Chris Line used pellet cone with corn and banded pellet also for carp and skimmers
3rd D Sewell (James Maude) Moat Outer 30 16-14-0
Dave fished pole and pellet at 11m for 1 carp and skimmers to 2lb

Geoff blitzed this small Friday open with 60lb. Geoff fished bomb with corn and meat for 15 carp to 6lb

Anglers arrived to ice on the lakes for the first time since last winter. Weights were expected to be down on previous days as anglers chose to sit it out on the tip for most of the match. Pete Bagshaw netted carp to win with 26-12-0 all caught on bomb with hair-rigged corn
2 G Mumby, Triana, 22-14-0; peg outer 64
Second place went to Gary Mumby with carp and a few skimmers taken on pole and maggot and feeder with corn
3 G Gibson, Worksop, 15-12-0; peg outer 42
Gordon Gibson caught mainly skimmers for third spot using bonded pellet on a feeder to the middle of Moat

Gary Mumby also used pole and bloodworm for his roach and perch net
