Brian made it 2 wins in 2 in this latest well attended veterans open. Brian used his favoured pellet cone tactics, alternating corn and meat on the hook. Brian caught 8 carp and a few tench.

Steve opted for pellet over micro feed pellet at 13m for carp to 7lb and a few skimmer bream.

Arnie caught mainly silvers on pole and pellet and caster at 8m

Steve continues his good form with this victory from bridge island 17. Steve used maggot on short pole for 40lb of skimmer bream and later added 2 carp for his weight of 47-12-0

Andy fished long pole and pellet for 3 carp and 20lb of skimmer bream

Mal Edgecombe was today’s open match winner with a nice net of carp and silvers caught on long pole with 6mm expander pellet over 4mm feed pellets and groundbait

Daz Newman netted carp up to 8lbs plus using pellet on the pole and corn on a bomb to finish second place overall

Ken Pacey took third spot with a net of small carp and tench caught on the pole at 10m using maggot and groundbait

Steve Twigg edged the victory in this first round of this year’s teams of 4 series. Steve caught mainly skimmer bream using 4mm expander pellet over micro feed pellets at 11m on the pole.

Rich Wilson took second place with a decent silverfish net of roach and skimmers taken at 13m on bloodworm and joker over ground bait.

Andy Sellars caught skimmers on the pole and ground bait feeder using pellet and corn to finish third overall.
