Ron Brooks won the well attended veterans match on Bridge and Croft fishing Croft peg 0. Ron used pellet, meat and corn to the marginal reeds for 15 carp to 6 lb
2nd B Sullivan (Maltby) Bridge Outer 43 61-12-0
Brian finished a close second with his weight. He used meat up in the water and paste on short pole for carp into double figures.
3rd A Tait (Hallcroft) Bridge Island 18 61-4-0
Alan fished short pole with meat and pellet for mixed net of carp and skimmers.

This was a reasonable turnout for the last Friday afternoon match and it proved to be a close contest.
1st J Smalley (Cambridge) Island Peg 43 75-12-0
John fished chopped worm and caster over groundbait at 8 metres for 14 carp up to 7 lb.
2nd J Masson (Maver/Maryuku) Moat Outer Peg 40 63-14-0
Jamie fished maggots over groundbait in the margins for 8 carp and a few skimmers.
3rd A Favill (Tuxford) Moat Island Peg 48 62-14-0
Andy fished short pole with caster for 2 carp and 50lb of skimmers.
4th N Wheatcroft (Bridon) 59-15-0 5th S Spurr (East Markham) 57-12-0

With the continued warm weather the carp have been reluctant to feed until the later stages of the matches and this Saturday open was no exception. Andy Sellars returned to winning ways with 72-2-0 caught carp to 8lb mainly on pellet cove and meat on a 13m pole line
2 D Slaymaker, Bait Tech, 54-2-0; peg 27
Don Slaymaker was second fishing caster and maggot over groundbait at 12m for 8 carp and 20lb of silvers
3 S Gray, Worksop, 48-14-0; peg 9
Third was Stuart Gray who fished paste and pellet for carp to 8lb
4 D Sewell, Sutton, 45-14-0; 5 D Dare, Mansfield, 44-6-0

Paul McIntyre at peg 100 on the outer was today’s winner with a nice net of carp taken from 11m down the margins using groundbait, pellet and corn
2 G Mumby, Triana, 68-13-0; peg island 11
Gary Mumby took second spot from island 11 with a mixed net of carp and skimmers caught on expander pellet at 13m on the pole
3 M McIntyre, Doncaster, 63-14-0; peg outer 104
Martin McIntyre edged the close third place with carp and bream taken on short pole with corn and pellet
