Andy fished shallow with waggler and meat and later switched to bomb with pellet cone for 16 carp upto 9lb

Stephen fished paste on the pole at 12m over ground bait for 12 carp upto 8lb

Martin alternated pellet and corn at 11m for a mixed net of carp to 8lb and skimmer bream

Moat pool continues to produce good weights and this Friday match was no exception with 100lb needed for top 3
Leading the field was Steve Shepherd from outer 67.Steve fished meat both short and long for 17 carp and 25lb of skimmers
2nd A Tait (Hallcroft) Peg 71 122-12-0
Alan opted for pellet on short pole and corn in the margins for 16 carp the biggest upto 10lb
3rd S Pimperton ( Sheffield) Peg 106 98-12-0
Shane also fished meat both shallow and on the deck for carp to 12lb

Daiwa Hallcroft Match Winner Grand Final (Saturday)

1 M White, Anston WMC, 80-8-0; peg 38
This year’s Daiwa Match Winner competition proved as popular as ever and the final saw some decent nets despite the windy conditions. Martin White finished overall winner with a nice net of carp all caught on the pole at 8m using pellets and meat. Martin came away a happy winner with a brand new Daiwa SR5 Pole package for his efforts.
2 D Oldfield, The Plough AC, 78-7-0; peg 35
Not far behind in second spot was Derek Oldfield who also landed mainly carp, but caught using paste and cat meat on the pole at 6m. Derek’s second place prize was a Matchwinner Feeder Rod plus a Reel.
3 G Ball, Feathers AC, 74-5-0; peg 40
Last year’s defending champion Graham Ball pushed the top spot all the way, but had to settle for third overall with 74-5-0 of carp and bream, and came away with a nice Daiwa Matchwinner feeder rod.

Gordan Gibson returned to form today with a decent ton-plus net of carp. Gordan fished catmeat on the short pole over a bed of 4mm feed pellets and landed carp too 9lbs plus in his winning net.
2 A Berisford, MAP Leegem, 105-13-0; peg B Isl 4
Arthur Berisford produced a splendid performance today to take second spot also with a ton-plus net of fish. Arthur fished the pole at top2 plus 1 section using expander pellet and feed pellets.
3 D Dare, Mansfield, 96-0-0; peg M Isl 47
Dave Dare opted for a pellet waggler fished shallow to the middle of moat to catch carp up to 8lbs in his third place net .
