Ex Shakespeare Superteam Stalwart Tony Davis scored an impressive win from peg 42 with a weight of 9-4-0.

Going into the last hour, Gloucester- rod Tony  had just a few small fish and his hopes of any kind of comeback seemed dashed when he lost a serpent sized eel just as he was about to net it. His fortunes were set to change however as a switch from worm to maggot in the closing stages of the match produced a magnificent 8 -0-0 barbel that visited adjoining pegs before a grateful Tony finally netted it.
Back up weights were good too considering the low, clear state of the river. Tony Marshall continued his fine form with 8-2-0 of quality hemp roach from peg 10.  Ian Ward secured 3rd from peg 63 mainly due to a monster 5lb plus tench which made up the bulk of his 6-13-0 net. Ray South  fished a tidy waggler match and claimed 4th spot with 6-11-0 of small fish from fancied peg two. Ever consistent Steve Ashmore was 5th from peg seven with a mixed maggot and seed bag of 6-0-0.
