Anglers were greeted by a very low and clear tidal Trent for the latest RiverFest qualifier held at North Clifton, Laughterton and Torksey. With no tide due for the match, the main targets would be the roach, dace and the hope of an odd barbel.

Winner on the day from North Clifton peg 22 was Mike Dench, Mike weighed 21lb 2oz. Catching on both the feeder and bolo, mike netted roach and several perch to book his place in the prestigious final. Unfortunately, in the same section, the ever consistent James Robbins took second place with 20lb 9oz of roach on bolo and maggot at peg 34 North Clifton.

In third place and winning zone B at Laughterton was John Hughes. Drawing in a noted barbel area peg 30, John landed three barbel on feeder and caster to weigh 17lb 11oz.

Zone C at Torksey fished very hard under the conditions, Trent legend John Small made no mistake from his end peg draw. Winning the zone with 9lb 15oz of roach on the bolo.
