Duane (pictured above with his winning catch) fed pellet and maggot with swimstim groundbait at 13m to take first spot after bemoaning his skill at not catching anything but stockies.
Then he hit a short run of three good bream, thanks to his “Lucky Hat” which earlier had saved him from a straffing run made by one of the local ducks.

Pete Palmer on next peg fed chop and caster and squatt at 13m in groundbait to net 3 Bream a Tench and an assortment of stockies and small silvers.

Martin Paynter fished chop and caster and fishery pellets to persuade a healthy net of Bream and some stockies to finish third. Unfortunately a winning nream nodded off at the net with an hour or so to go and every fish that followed was carefully coaxed to the net.

Back up weights were good with other anglers putting minimum 14lb on the scales.

Next Saturday same place same time. Book on to be in.
