The annual Angling Trust and Fish Legal Masters event was held at Mallory Park Fisheries, Leicestershire on Saturday 20th August 2011 supported by 16 industry and press teams.

This is primarily a team event with 6 anglers in a team spread over the whole complex. There were 11 weights over 100lbs but it was not an easy event and most anglers had to work very hard for their weights.
It turned out to be a real nail biting finish with every team having some low section places. It was a tie on points for Team Marukyu Black and Drennan England with 31 points each. The count back on weight gave the title to Drennan England for this year.
The first 3 teams were
Drennan England 31 points
Marukyu Black 31 points
Marukyu Red 41 points
With 11 anglers weighing over 100lbs each it was a close race to be the individual winner. Top angler was Martin Churchill with 163lbs from Glebe 1 peg 2. Martin caught most of his fish on the 5 metre line with Corn as the main bait.

Roy Marlow, the fishery owner thanked everyone for their support and for their raffle prizes donated by individuals and their sponsors.
Angling Trust and Fish Legal would like to thank the anglers who raised several hundred pounds and also thank and show their appreciation to Linda Marks who donated a cheque of £400 from the Ivan Marks Memorial event held in late May. Ivan was a big supporter of the ACA, which has become Fish Legal as part of the Angling Trust and everyone on the day thanked Linda for the generous donation.
Mark Lloyd, Chief Executive of the Angling Trust said “We are very grateful to Roy Marlow for yet again organising a fantastic event at his fishery to support our work fighting for fish and fishing. Everything we do is paid for by anglers, for the benefit of all anglers, and it is fantastic that so many leading names in the sport helping us to raise money and awareness by fishing in this match.”
